Started with Debroy’s mammoth translation of the Mahabharat last night. I just about read the lament of Dhritarashtra and all I wanted was to chuck the Elipsa aside and figure out a way to learn Sanskrit asap!

If it is so moving in English, I can only imagine how evocative it’ll be in the original! So now, that makes three languages I want to learn 😂 (French, Urdu and Sanskrit)
