Seeing an Indian Youtube channel like #KitaabiCabins, with young ’uns doing such fantastic work around everything books and having close to 90K followers puts paid to the lie, that young Indians don’t read.

We tried and failed to fix this issue for years, and as we worked on the new screensaver we just realized what was causing it. It’s fixed now, not only for the new screensaver, but after extensive testing also as an update to the old one….

Started with Debroy’s mammoth translation of the Mahabharat last night. I just about read the lament of Dhritarashtra and all I wanted was to chuck the Elipsa aside and figure out a way to learn Sanskrit asap!
If it is so moving in English, I can only imagine how evocative it’ll be in the original! So now, that makes three languages I want to learn 😂 (French, Urdu and Sanskrit)

#PSA for for the Byomkesh Bakshi fans of the series that aired on DD in the 90s
DD has now apparently cleaning up the old videos and putting them into a new playlist.
It’s solved the constant audio hum that was there in the playlist they had uploaded during the Covid lockdowns
They have done about a third of the videos as far as I can make out
