All my heroes are turning out to be assholes
In the whole of Creativity Inc. not once does Catmull mention anything of this sort. What good creative process if its built on exclusion? To protect assholes because they are a “creative genius”

Playing around with #Rust basics, because I wanted a systems language under my belt. and because @mandarvaze’s on a tear with his inspiring TILs on Rust (https://microblog.desipenguin.com/tags/rust/)
My main insight, *this* is the language for me. hopefully it’ll stick around for a while.
(mostly because sane error messages!
and because it’s easier for me with my Python mental model to learn rust than C. And because my brief courtship with C kinda scared me a bit.)

#Emacs #OrgMode friends! help!
I need a way to exclude files containing .sync-conflict in their name from Org Agenda.
My org setup is such that it reads all the files in a folder.
Context & Details:
syncbox folder for the agenda.syncbox syncs with beorg on the phone via syncthing, so I can see and execute on all my stuff through out the day)syncthing creates a -sync.conflict file and now i have two sets of everything (sometimes 3) (for e.g. tasks.org conflicts and i get, tasks.sync-conflict-20240516-101335.2TWENY.org and tasks.sync-conflict-20240408-041556.2TWENY.org)org-agenda-file-regexp , but wasn’t successful at asking it to ingore them.is there a way I can tell org to ignore, files with a certain pattern in my org-agenda directory?

The key to keep in mind is this: if you think it’s important enough—and you can’t see a better path—then you need to put yourself out there again. And again. And again.
