but more important than that is the mindset.
when I was doing omnifocus / gtd, everything got done, but I was wound tight as a drum.
and while over the past years, i reverted to simple planning using org mode, i feel … free, but important things fall through the cracks and then I am all flustered. I also feel lost a lot.

oh, I just realised, I never addressed *why* I am doing this.
let’s talk tools first. There was a time when everything just worked.
I had a Mac & iPhone, I was into Getting Things Done, I did consulting with a select set of clients and Omnifocus helped with everything/everywhere.
Right now, consulting is at a bare minimum, I’m in the middle of a career pivot. I use Linux and would prefer foss tools alongside paper or other analogue systems

my first heuristic when trying new stuff out, nowadays is not how it works, but *who* made it.
if this is a VC funded / global megacorp thing, it automatically puts it in a no trust, try in a sandbox, give it a really long trial, and then use it and then don’t even trust it zone, if i use it at all
most times, I’ll just skip it. #ViaNegativa
