worlds, words, there were so many. pulling books off the shelves with feverish fingers, stuffing my bag until it tugged at the seams. running to the car, hovering over which to read first. tumbling back into the world I’d longed for. hunched under blankets, eyes burning, mind ablaze with friends and the feelings I never could capture.

You want to know what I’m missing?

the sense of time.

the way I’d bounce in my seat all the way to the library; the way I’d painstakingly pick out the words from the computer, the way I’d speed-walk through the aisles –

Hello, Mr. Gaiman! I hope you’re doing well. I’m curious, how many words would you say you write on a good/average/bad day? […] it’s hard not to feel like it’s a complete waste of time […] do you have any advice?

[…]

Stephen King has written more books than anyone I know. He writes 1500 words a day. That’s what he does. Then he does other things.

If you write 300 words a day you will have written a 365 page novel in a year.

Just write.

Best GUI music tag editor I ever used was the windows based #TagAndRename.

I found #PuddleTag today. Closest thing I’ve found on #Linux that matches the features #TagAndRename gave me. Managing my music files has gotten fun and easy again.

Got it working, thanks to Anki’s excellent documentation and scavenging and adapting old nginx / systemd scripts

Tested with a large-ish deck. Works beautifully.
Now to start uploading *ALL THE DECKS!*

Thank you #Anki!
