Time management isn’t about time at all.
It’s about priorities.

@dabeaz There was a perfectly serviceable car metaphor (that he did use, at the very end.)
But until then it was just hour upon hour of dismembering Mabel!

#Ruckus should actually have been called “Mabel dies in the end”
And after showing us such a beautiful picture of Mabel 😢
aka reasons I hate @dabeaz 😂

Been using a web browser / GUIs in some shape or form since the late 90s. and i just blanked on the word scrollbar. (I needed the word, because I wanted them to be visible always in Firefox)
I had to go looking for window side, up-down thing.

I’m even more comfortable with the quiet than @sacha and so this resonates even more strongly with me.
#TheGreatConversation is exactly why I write. Something I experienced or learned could resonate with someone across the years.
And even moreso (for me) that’s not quite the point of me writing. I am more interested in pouring my thoughts out, so that my mind stays calmer, and more meditative. The point of me writing is reflection. The point of me writing is loving my own company, my own voice … even finding my own voice. The point of me writing is quiet comfort. The point of me writing is me talking back to the old ones. The point of me writing is quiet joy.

Abolition is both destruction and reconstruction; in abolishing work, you become able to create it anew. For too long, “work” has been synonymous with waged work, with the work we long for an escape from. And everything else becomes the “life” that stands in opposition to work, as if work were somehow an equal to the life it sucks dry.
But what if work was all the change we make in the world, with all the people we make that change with—colleagues and comrades, neighbors and friends, kin in all the kingdoms. What if work wasn’t only what we do at work, but all the ways that work moves out into the world, and all the work we do elsewhere—whether in our homes or in our streets. What if our work is all the things we give a fuck about? What becomes possible then?
