#Ansible #SysAdmin #Devops folk need help
What is the generally accepted wisdom on updating the os and packages on systems with Ansible?
Five systems on my network is getting too much to handle and I want to automate os and package updates with Ansible. Good idea?
When I say, oh you can’t use this, I’ve specifically tailored this to my needs, what I mean, is that this is a giant pile of hacks, most pretty insecure, that I dare not let loose in the wild.

finally enabled #Syncthing’s introducers. on *one* machine. after close to five years of using it.
i have enough devices now that redoing them is a giant pita otherwise
it confused the hell out of me when I did it last. machines would keep offering me folders and i would not know what came from where 😂
now i know enough of how I use syncthing to know that enabling introducers on one machine is enough.
Watching shared folders propogate painlessly is so amazing! Thank you #Syncthing

Moved my itty bitty #Lenovo #IdeaPad1 laptop to Manjaro today with KDE
everything worked except for the touchpad. a little bit of web fu led me to blacklisting the elan\_i2c module
added blacklist elan\_i2c to blacklist.conf in the /etc/modprobe.d directory and then all was well :)

#NoteToSelf make sure the machine is backed up before you do any sort of driver update on the desktop
At least you will have the latest versions of your stuff when the machine goes wah
