I need to do this so that I can figure out how to do multiple cognitive tasks, in some sane manner. right now the approach is to just do bursts until i burn myself out.
It might have worked when i was a young scrapper, but it doesn’t work now.
getting sick over and over is also not fun
i have so many things to learn and I need some sort of system to do it all
worth experimenting to find something that works for me
the babbling experiment that i started yesterday seems to be helping with keeping my mind at ease.
need to figure out more approaches/heuristics

Need to get myself out of my scarcity mindset and stop shift deleting files.
Not a week goes by, when I need to fish a file out of my backups because I irrevocably deleted it and now want back.
I have large disks now. They can afford to hold large amounts of trash!

Really well written analysis by Ben Thompson1, totally disagree with the conclusion
Talent, meanwhile, has to realize that they and the studios are not divided by this new paradigm, but jointly threatened: the Internet is bad news for content producers with outsized costs, and long-term sustainability will be that much harder to achieve if the focus is on increasing them.
What @dianeduane and @neilhimself have taught me is that the demands of the folk on strike are minuscule. The big content producers have been rapacious.Talent should not have to bear these burdens, because they haven’t shared in the benefits all these decades past.

It’s just because I stumbled into these and I was ok with them.
Later in life when I learnt how to reflect and think critically, I evaluated most of my big life choices and stayed with most of them, because they made me happy
And I am and do all these things, not because these are inherently good or better. it’s just what i like and what i choose to do / be
Folks choosing / being ok with / stumbling into the alternatives are choosing what makes them happy. They aren’t wrong. They aren’t bad.
Just different.
We could all do with a little kindness (and a little bit of self reflection)
and if we can’t do that, at least learn to mind our own business and not to poke our noses into stuff that does not concern us
